The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a professional certification offered by the institute of Management Accountants (IMA) for individuals working in the field of management accounting and financial management. The CMA program consists of two parts a four-hour computer-based test for each part, which covers topics such as financial statement analysis, planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation, and strategic management, decision-making, and professional ethics. To be eligible for the CMA exam, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management. Successful completion of the CMA exam and meeting the experience requirements will earn the candidate the CMA credential
